"KCDS taught each of my children a love of learning, which continues to this day. It gave them an amazing basis and prepared them for high school, college, and graduate degrees. I highly recommend it!"
Margaret Sayen (Former Parent and Current Grandparent)
"We started our journey in Pre-K Summer Camp, and it has been amazing. Since then, Adelynn has graduated from the Junior Kindergarten program and is ready to start Kindergarten in the Fall. So far, Adelynn's teachers have been amazing, especially Mr. Tomson, and they truly have helped her find a love for learning. We are both very excited to see what new and wonderful things she will accomplish this year with Mrs. Davis. I couldn't imagine a better environment for my child's education!"
Kathleen Sterling (Current Parent)
"My twins had a phenomenal Middle School experience at Kalamazoo Country Day School! They were more than prepared for High School, and still talk about what they learned at Kalamazoo Country Day!"
Celeste Green (Former Parent)
"Kalamazoo Country Day School has exceeded our expectations on every level. Not only have our kids had access to strong academics, but they've also received love and kindness from the staff and teachers. They've engaged us parents in so many meaningful ways, including concerts, gardening, and a Trunk-or-Treat costume parade. We love that our kids have early access to extracurriculars like music, gym, and Spanish. When our Junior Kindergartner recited the alphabet in two languages, we were floored! We recommend Kalamazoo Country Day to every parent we meet."
Shanna and Amy Heath (Current Parents)
"Kalamazoo Country Day School is beyond special in so many ways. As a teacher with fifteen years of teaching experience, I thought I had seen it all when it came to education. Boy, was I wrong! The family-like atmosphere we have here is truly remarkable. Because of our lower student-to-staff ratio, I am able to build a much more meaningful relationship with each and every one of my students. I get to know each person in my class personally, and know what motivates and drives them. I can use student interests to better enhance my lessons with real-life connections and make learning more enjoyable for students. Smaller class sizes also naturally lend themselves to more fun, personalized, and hands-on activities. Getting to be a teacher at Kalamazoo Country Day School is truly a genuine gift and I am so thankful to be part of this amazing school family!"
Justina Goodyke (Current Teacher)
"It's hard to believe that tomorrow is our last "first" day at Kalamazoo Country Day School. Our daughter started at the school in 2013 as a 4 year old and now she is entering the 8th grade. We can't imagine spending the last 9 years anywhere else. Our daughter has experienced learning at its best! She has always been met with a challenge. We continue to be amazed by the unfailing support and encouragement that teachers and staff have always shared. The teachers at Kalamazoo Country Day School constantly strive to meet each child where they are and accompany them on their journey to reaching their full potential and beyond. The strong foundation that this school has provided for our daughter leaves us filled with excitement for her future and what lies ahead."
Stacey & Bob Ritsema (Current Parents)
"We have been at Kalamazoo Country Day School since our daughter Ariana was in Junior Kindergarten. We loved the school so much that we decided to enroll her in Kindergarten and enroll our son Dylan preschool the following year. The curriculum utilized and small class size keep students actively engaged in the classroom. Our children love going to school and have learned so much. Ariana will enter First Grade in the fall and Dylan will be in Junior Kindergarten. We know that they will continue to thrive which is why we can't imagine having our kids attend any other school."
Toussaint and Natalie Jackson (Current Parents)
"Our journey at Kalamazoo Country Day School began with Pre-K 3 for both of our kids, and we have been happy ever since! The environment is so inviting and the education is so enriching. We love the additional care that our kids receive and are so happy to be part of the Kalamazoo Country Day School Family! I went to Kalamazoo Academy when I was a child, and the education and loving environment stays the same. The staff makes us feel so comfortable leaving our children there even when they need a little extra love in a day!"
Brandon Jeannot & Cody Allkins (Current Parents)
"There is no school in the area quite like Kalamazoo Country Day School. The outstanding teaching staff coupled with small class sizes cultivate an environment that allows students to thrive. My Kindergartner looked forward to going to school every day! By the end of the year, she was not only confident in her reading, writing, and math skills, but had also made amazing friends. We are beyond excited to have our son attend preschool in the fall!"
