The 2017-2018 Annual Fund
The 2017-2018 school year has inspired our belief in, and commitment to, the joys of non-profit independent education. Our Kalamazoo Country Day School Community loves to learn and we have the amazing opportunity to individually educate and encourage each student that walks through our doors.
We take seriously, the confidence you have placed in us to not only educationally challenge your children, but also to develop Global Citizens. We are committed to recognizing and encouraging responsibility, mutual respect, and empathy. Our holistic approach values the individual expression of each child and in turn, motivates us as a community to cultivate and expect the best of each child.
Our Community is enriched by our amazing teachers and programs. Maker’s Space, Language Arts, Technology, Computer Coding, Music, Field Trips and more, speak to our promise of creative educational experiences.
Our KCDS environment is special, it is a gift and its benefits are lifelong. Like other non-profit independent schools, tuition does not cover the entire cost of each child’s educational experience. We rely on our Annual Fund to maintain and enhance our offerings and it is the time of year, where we ask for your investment, your gift, to KCDS.
This year we are very pleased to share the generous contribution of two families that are long-time supporters of KCDS to show their support by matching each donation dollar up to the first $50,000 donated! Otherwise stated, your donation is immediately doubled.
While the size of your donation is important, and we encourage you to be generous, our goal is 100% participation within the KCDS Community. We need your help to achieve that goal. Our Board of Trustees has demonstrated its leadership and has already achieved a 100% participation rate.
Your donation has an immediate and relevant impact for all of our students, for KCDS, and for our communities. Please join me in celebrating our school, our mission, and our philosophy to educate students to the highest academic, social, and personal achievement.

How To Give To The Annual Fund
Cash & Check
The easiest way to make a donation to The Annual Fund is by check.
Checks should be made out to Kalamazoo Country Day School and mailed to:
4221 East Milham Road
Portage, Michigan 49002
Donations may also be brought to the school office.
Securities & Stock
This is a great way to make a donation to The Annual Fund. Giving securities and/or stock provides you with a tax deduction for the appreciated value of the stock without incurring capital gains tax. The business office would be happy to provide details on how to make stock gifts.
Many employers will match donations to The Annual Fund — increasing the impact of your gift. If your employer (or your spouse’s) has a gift matching program, please indicate on the envelope. Enclose your employer’s gift matching form with your donation, or ask your HR Department for more information.
If you would like to make a donation but are unable to do so right now, you may make a pledge to The Annual Fund. On the envelope mark pledge and indicate when you plan on making your donation and a friendly reminder will be sent to you around that time. Pledges for the current Annual Fund campaign must be paid by June 1, 2018.
