About Kalamazoo Country Day School 

Kalamazoo Country Day School was founded 43 years ago to celebrate and inspire learning during the first chapter in a student’s school career. As an accredited, independent school, the school operates at the forefront of educational thought, makes decisions that are the best for each student, and looks to a rich history to help inform those decisions.

At Kalamazoo Country Day School, our motto is “Explore, Expand, Excel.” We believe that children excel in an academically challenging, yet child-centered, environment. Our project-based, integrated, and thematic curriculum promotes critical thinking, problem solving, and risk taking.
