A Private, Independent ISACS Accredited School Serving PS-8 Students
Kalamazoo Country Day School was founded over 35 years ago to celebrate and inspire learning during the first chapter in a student's school career. As an accredited independent school, KCDS operates at the forefront of educational thought, makes decisions that are the best for each student, and looks to a rich history to help inform our decisions.
We Value Diversity
Kalamazoo Country Day School welcomes students throughout the school year. We seek a wide range of talented students with diverse backgrounds - in terms of learning aptitudes, ethnicity, and socio-economic backgrounds.
Our curriculum encourages creative thinking, critical reasoning, problem solving, and independent thought through projects and portfolio learning. At KCDS, students study language arts, the humanities, math, science, Spanish, and visual and performing arts. We employ 21st Century technology as a tool for research, communication, networking, and innovation.
Kalamazoo Country Day School graduates eighth graders full of energy, optimism, opinions, and courage. Through the years at KCDS, students learn to learn through a gradual release of responsibility. We know they carry their experience proudly.
